After much anticipation, PolyMedex Discovery Group announces the launch of its new website! Let us know what you think.
The new website features our five business units, including: Implants & Drug Delivery, Custom Components, Putnam Extrusions, Foster Compounds, and Polymer Distribution. The site includes everything from the markets we serve to the services we provide. While visiting the site you can also read about our latest press releases and announcements in our Media section.
Plastics Expo 2010
For the past seven years, Quinebaug Valley Community College (QVCC) has conducted a Plastics Expo in coordination with the Quinebaug Valley Plastics Institute (QVPI). This year, PolyMedex worked with Putnam High School students and swept the competition, taking home both the People's Choice and the Judge's Choice awards for the Antimicrobial Multi-Featured Pen (A.M.P.). Check Out the Student's Commercial!
The winning product that the students created was a pen with a barrel that was antimicrobial, vanilla scented, and radiopaque. It also featured a removable hand sanitizer vial. The students developed a business plan and were involved in everything from design and production to packaging, marketing and selling. The pens sold for $1.99 and all the proceeds went towards a college scholarship fund for the students. Read More
